Indigenous FireKeepers Summit
About
In many ways, the Sacred Fire refers to the longstanding Indigenous cultural traditions and knowledge cultivated over thousands of years and passed down generation to generation. These days people are more out of touch with their cultural heritage than ever, and it has never been more important to realize this wisdom of the past.

Sacred Fire also refers to the practice of using large fires for ceremonies, rituals, funerals, and numerous other reasons. The role of FireKeeper is not one that is taken lightly, and anyone that holds this title knows the significance of “keeping the fire burning.”
The Indigenous FireKeepers Summit seeks to bring together FireKeepers from all over to share wisdom, create connections, and ensure that the Sacred Fire never stops burning. It is by keeping this fire going that we keep our traditions and wisdom flowing from generation to generation.
